U.S. Embassy in Paris Issues Warning to Americans

France raised its terror alert to the highest level after the attack in Russia.

The U.S. Embassy in Paris issued an alert to all U.S. citizens in France, urging Americans to avoid demonstrations and “keep a low profile” after ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack at a concert hall in Moscow over the weekend in which more than 130 people died.

The embassy stated, “Residents and visitors throughout France may see heightened security in public areas, including airports; public transport; places of worship; tourist sites; major sports venues; and large commercial centers.”

“French authorities actively monitor terrorist threats from organized groups and radicalized individuals,” the security alert continued. “Attacks may happen with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, major sporting and cultural events, and other public areas that attract large numbers of civilians. Visitors to congested and popular tourist areas should be particularly attentive to their surroundings.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary of State Antony Blinken as he oversees the U.S. State Department and assesses threats to Americans abroad.
  • For diplomats, ambassadors, and embassy officials as they seek to assist and inform U.S. citizens to international dangers.
