Thursday, March 7

President Joe Biden will deliver his State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress.

The president will highlight the priorities of his administration regarding healthcare costs, and the reduction of consumer “junk fees“ charged by various companies. He will discuss foreign aid to U.S. allies, particularly Ukraine and Israel, with humanitarian aid for Gaza.

This speech comes as the House and Senate continue to negotiate appropriations for the remainder of the 2024 fiscal year. Continuing resolutions have kept the government open and funded since the previous fiscal year ended in September.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Biden and his advisors to be prudent as they pursue the administration’s goals.
  • For discernment for Speaker Johnson as he heads the House of Representatives.
  • For Senate Majority Leader Schumer to receive God’s direction as he oversees Senate proceedings.
