Thursday, February 8

Today, the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case of the Colorado Supreme Court barring former President Donald Trump from the presidential election ballot based on the Fourteenth Amendment.

Colorado and a dozen other states have claimed that President Trump’s role in the events of January 6, 2021, make him ineligible as a candidate for president due to being “engaged in insurrection or rebellion.”

The former president has stated that the move would “threaten to disenfranchise tens of millions of Americans” and “unleash chaos and bedlam if other state courts and state officials follow Colorado’s lead.”

Despite President Trump being investigated multiple times since 2021, he has not been charged with insurrection.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the justices as they hear the arguments regarding President Trump’s participation in the events of January 6, 2021.
  • For President Trump and his legal team to be factual and transparent in stating their case to the high court.
  • For the president, federal agents, and Justice Department officials as they endeavor to address domestic terrorism.
