Issue 629 – Federal Branches

Praying for Our Leaders in Government

Executive Branch: Pray for the President and his Administration

An audit by the Inspector General’s office of the Environmental Protection Agency determined that the plans to accelerate the Clean School Bus Program by President Biden’s administration may hindered from achieving its goals. The program calls for electric buses which will be dependent on an increase in available electricity from utility companies for charging.

Pray for the president and members of the administration as they pursue green agenda items.

Legislative Branch: Pray for Senators and Representatives in Congress

Representative Jay Obernolte of California, a member of the Congress’ caucus on artificial intelligence, says regulations relating to privacy need to be a top short-term priority for Congress. He said the emerging technology poses risks that the government should mitigate by creating federal digital data privacy regulations.

Pray for members of Congress as they return to business, and about laws they may consider regarding artificial intelligence.

The leadership of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee released a resolution that would find Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress after he failed to comply with a subpoena for closed-door testimony last month. The committee expects to consider the resolution before it goes to the full House where a majority must approve the resolution.

Pray for members of the House as they vote on the contempt charges.

Judicial Branch: Pray for Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges

The Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that federal law cannot be used to force emergency room doctors to perform abortions.

Pray for judges who hear cases regarding federal laws that govern medical treatments.
