Issue 625 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

According to a report from a whistleblower, the Pentagon may have been involved in a domestic censorship program detailed in newly disclosed files from the Cyber Threat Intelligence League.

Pray for U.S. officials in each branch of government, including the military, to fulfill their duties and be faithful to keep their oaths of office and the Constitution. Pray that things done in darkness will be brought into the light.

Ukrainian president Zelensky told members of the Senate, “Ukrainians haven’t given up and won’t give up. We know what to do. … Russia is set on more than just Ukraine’s land resources or our people. … Russian President Vladimir Putin must lose.”

Pray for U.S. legislators as they consider the desired levels of continued aid to Ukraine and for those who are endeavoring to find a diplomatic solution to the war.

At the COP28 meeting, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said that they want to see nations push new carbon taxes to “fight climate change.” Such charges would increase all consumer pricing with penalties for not following their goals, such as for driving gas-powered vehicles, using gas to heat their homes, cooking on gas stoves, and even eating meat. Climate Envoy John Kerry and Vice President Kamala Harris were among many representing the U.S. at the COP28 two-week conference.

Pray for U.S. leaders and decision-makers to be discerning about the green agenda and the pressure to turn over American sovereignty to the international community.

A team of researchers from the Medical Research Council at the University of Cambridge found that mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, such as those created by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, prompt cells to produce “unintended frameshifting-derived proteins” which human bodies attack leading to “an immune system flare-up.”

Pray for people who are suffering from the consequences of taking the COVID-19 vaccines.

Hamas terrorists continue firing rockets at Israeli civilian locations from within the Gaza “safe zone” established by the Israeli Defense Force, deliberately endangering Palestinian civilians. Meanwhile, Israel continues to “call on the residents of the northern Gaza Strip and Gaza City to evacuate” those areas.

Pray for U.S. and Israeli officials as they seek to enhance the safety of Gazan civilians. Pray for the release of the remaining hostages.

A new Gallup poll shows that 50 percent of Americans expect Social Security benefits to be available when they retire. Workers over the age of 50 are more confident, while millennials are more skeptical than Gen Z. Analysts expect that the Social Security system will only pay 80 percent of benefits by 2034.

Pray for Americans who are trying to live on Social Security benefits only.

Pray for Goodness in America

A Colorado-based pro-life group called Save the Storks has launched its 100th mobile medical clinic, giving it to a pregnancy resource center in Tennessee that provides a “holistic approach to medical services.” The CEO of Save the Storks said, “This is a big milestone for the organization, but it really is just the beginning. We are already in 34 states, and it is our God-sized dream to see every state, every county, and city, have life-affirming mobile medical clinics to empower women with real choice.”

Give thanks to God for organizations that are standing in the gap to uphold the sanctity of life.

Pray for Needs Across the States

The Georgia House of Representatives passed revised congressional redistricting lines concluding a conflicted special session. The measure had already been approved by the Georgia Senate.

The state treasurer of South Carolina removed the Walt Disney Company from the state’s approved investment list. The official said, “Disney has abandoned its fiduciary responsibilities to its investors and customers by joining far-left activists… to further Disney’s political agenda.”

Pray for state legislators and officials to do what is right for their citizens.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“As you consistently tap into that habit [of prayer], you find your relationship with Jesus growing deeper and deeper, just automatically. And as a result, you then experience much more peace, tranquility and serenity in your life and the ability to really muscle through some of the most difficult obstacles and challenges that life can throw at you.“ – Jonathan Roumie, producer and actor (who depicts Jesus in The Chosen), Los Angeles, December 2023
