President Biden Seeks Cooperation in Fentanyl Crisis

He met with President Lopez Obrador of Mexico on Friday.

During the APEC Summit in San Francisco earlier this week, President Joe Biden met with President Xi Jinping of China. President Biden secured an agreement from President Xi that China would help curb its export of the drugs that make fentanyl as well as the pill press equipment used by the Mexican drug cartels.

On Friday, in an effort to secure a three-way deal, President Biden met with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in San Francisco, to secure the Mexican government’s cooperation in the fentanyl crisis.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported that overdose deaths from fentanyl have more than tripled in the last half dozen years.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Biden and National Drug Control Policy Director Gupta as they seek to reduce the trafficking of fentanyl and other illicit substances.
  • For Administrator Anne Milgram as she heads the Drug Enforcement Administration.
  • That those in the U.S. who are addicted to controlled substances would seek assistance.
