Secretary Blinken Meets with Israeli President Herzog

IDF warns Gazans of attacks against Hamas.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog to discuss the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas and the role of the United States in supporting the Israeli war effort.

“These are difficult days, but we’re here, as we’ve been, as we remain, in solidarity with Israel,” said Secretary Blinken. “We stand strongly for the proposition that Israel has not only the right but the obligation to defend itself and to do everything possible to make sure that this October 7th can never happen again.”

Israeli President Herzog indicated that the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) would be continuing its ground incursion into Gaza despite growing calls for a cease-fire from members of the international diplomatic community. He highlighted the efforts Israel was taking to inform civilians in Gaza about incoming attacks by dropping leaflets and sending text messages to those in the crossfire.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Blinken as he provides ongoing support to Israel as it defends itself against Hamas’ terrorism.
  • For the peace of Jerusalem and for wisdom for the leaders of Israel.
