Senator Schumer Leads Delegation to Israel

Weekend visit shows U.S. support.

A delegation of legislators led by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York traveled to Israel over the weekend to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Benny Gantz, and Israeli President Isaac Herzog. After the group arrived in Israel, they were forced to take shelter as rocket fire hit Tel Aviv.

“While in Tel Aviv today, our delegation was rushed to a shelter to wait out rockets sent by Hamas,” Senator Schumer stated. “It shows you what Israelis have to go through. We must provide Israel with the support required to defend itself.”

The Senate majority leader added, “We’re going to do everything we can, and I’m going to urge everyone, everyone in the American government, to bring back the hostages, particularly our American hostages.“

The Senate is scheduled to return from its Columbus Day recess on Tuesday.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Senator Schumer and the members of the delegation as they pledge support for Israel.
  • For the president and his administration as they consider options for aiding Israel’s defense.
  • For the leaders and people of Israel as they prepare measures to defend their nation.
