HUD and VA Award $16 Million for Permanent Veteran Housing

The department will distribute housing vouchers to homeless veterans.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced with the Department of Veterans Affairs that they have awarded $16.1 million in supportive housing vouchers to 71 public housing agencies. These vouchers are part of the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program that helps homeless veterans and their families find permanent housing.

“HUD is excited to award new HUD-VASH vouchers to 71 public housing agencies across the country to address homelessness among veterans,” said HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge. “These vouchers will help us get homeless veterans and their families off the streets and into affordable housing. This investment represents our commitment to making veteran homelessness a thing of the past.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For HUD Secretary Fudge as she collaborates with the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide housing vouchers to homeless veterans.
  • For VA Secretary Denis McDonough to seek God’s direction as he heads his department.
  • For homeless veterans and their families to access the assistance that is available to them.
