September 20th – Wednesday

My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed. – Psalm 71:23

How uplifting it is to sing praises and shout for joy to Jesus Christ the King. He has redeemed the souls of His children and provided so much to be thankful for. While there are times in which you do not want to sing praises or shout for joy, those are the times when you need to do it the most. When believers glorify God in the midst of uncertainty, trouble, or sorrow, they are able to receive God’s perspective on this life. You witness throughout his psalms David worshiping the Lord no matter what. As you notice current events and the decay in society, you can still place your trust in the unchanging God who created you. Let Him turn your sadness into joy, and sing praises during challenging circumstances. Jesus is there always there. Pray, rejoice, and sing today no matter the situation.

As the Lord leads, pray with us…

  • For strength for believers who hold public office at the federal, state, and local levels of government.
  • That God would work in the hearts of the president and public officials who are making policy decisions.
