Influencers
A personality cult has grown up within social media where individuals carve out a niche for themselves in which they seek credibility and authority. They use their acquired influence, secured from thousands – and in some cases, millions – of followers, to spread their particular message or promote certain brands. Yet, among the lists of top 100 social media influencers, you will not find anyone sending out the message of Jesus and the cross! Entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, and technology, but few focus on what matters to God. Influencers seek imitators. Ephesians 5:15-16 says, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil.” Be discerning about whom you follow today and use your faith walk to influence others for His Kingdom.
