Many seek the face of a ruler, but it is from the Lord that a man gets justice. – Proverbs 29:26

“That’s not fair!” How many times have you heard children say this? When it comes to daily living, some things will be unjust or unfair. However, God is holy and righteous. You can depend on Him to work out His will in your life. It often takes time, because God’s timetable is quite different from humanity’s. Just as the Lord always answers prayer, we have to wait for it. Daniel prayed for an answer and it took a little while for the angel to arrive due to a battle in the spiritual realm (Daniel 10:2-14). When things look bleak or like they are not going to turn out in your favor, hold onto God’s promise in today’s verse. People will let you down, but God will always be faithful and just. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfect. As you pray over the nation today, ask the Lord to work out His perfect will.

As the Lord leads, pray with us…

  • For judges in the federal courts as they hear and decide cases that have a national impact.
  • For the president and his advisors as they nominate individuals to the federal bench.
