Anticipation
In the book “Are We Living in the End Times,” coauthors Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins write, “We have more reason than any generation before us to believe Christ may return in our generation. … Christ could come today, and no prophecy of the end times necessary for His coming would go unfulfilled.” You have seen the signs for yourself: knowledge and travel are increased (Daniel 12:4), there is increased tension between peoples and nations (Matthew 24:4-7), social troubles encircle the globe (Matthew 24:7-8), there is great deception (Matthew 24:5, 11), sin and lawlessness is on the increase (Matthew 24:12), and the Gospel is preached to the entire world (Matthew 24:14). Not all believers agree on the sequence of Christ’s return as it relates to the Rapture, but everyone agrees HE IS RETURNING. So boldly shout “Maranatha”—even so come, Lord Jesus.
