Thursday, June 15

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. President Joe Biden issued a proclamation, stating, “Around the world, a silent epidemic of elder abuse is denying seniors the ability to age with dignity, security, and grace. No nation is immune.“

He continued, “In America, 1 in 10 people over the age of 60 has experienced some form of elder abuse, with cases still widely underreported.“

The president added, “On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we highlight the signs of this crisis, lift up the voices of survivors, and strive to improve resources for those on a path to healing.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his advisors as they seek to protect vulnerable elderly Americans.
  • For members of the Senate as they deliberate the confirmation of presidential appointees.
  • For wisdom for the president and his administration as they work on solutions to the issues facing the U.S.
