Secretary Cardona Welcomes Assistant Secretary of Special Ed

Glenna Wright-Gallo has 25 years of experience in special needs education.

 Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona commended the Senate’s recent confirmation of Glenna Wright-Gallo, welcoming the new assistant secretary of the Department of Education. Ms. Wright-Gallo will be the assistant secretary for special education and rehabilitative services, bringing 25 years of experience supporting families, administrators, and students with disabilities to her new role.

Secretary Cardona stated, “Her commitment to meeting the needs of the special education community and strong track record of improving outcomes are exactly what we need at this critical moment in our recovery from the pandemic, and I look to working with her to raise the bar for students with disabilities and their families.”
