Ukrainian Troops Begin Training in United States

They are learning to operate Patriot missile systems in Oklahoma.

One hundred Ukrainian troops have arrived at the Fort Sill army base in Oklahoma to learn how to operate and maintain the Patriot missile system, a portable anti-aerial defense machine used in the field of battle. “Those troops have arrived at Fort Sill and have begun their training,” said Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder. “That training will last for several months.”

The latest weapons package includes one Patriot battery for Ukraine’s defense, which the Pentagon says fills a crucial gap in long-range aerial defense in Ukraine. Russia has made multiple aerial attacks on Ukraine in the last year, some of which were aimed at civilian infrastructure. Other Ukrainian troops are already being trained by the U.S. military in Germany to handle additional American-made military equipment.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For U.S. defense officials as they continue to send military equipment to Ukraine.
  • For U.S. Army personnel as they train Ukrainian troops on the Patriot systems.
  • For U.S. troops stationed in Europe as they provide training and support to the Ukraine military.
