Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, hosted a White House roundtable on anti-semitism at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Leaders from a dozen Jewish groups participated along with Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, and Director of the United States Domestic Policy Council Susan Rice.
“There’s an epidemic of hate facing our country,“ the second gentleman stated. “Words matter. People are no longer saying the quiet parts out loud. They are literally screaming them.”
“We cannot normalize this,” Mr. Emhoff added. “We all have an obligation to condemn these vile acts. We must not stay silent. There is no either/or. There are no two sides. Everyone must be against this.”
