Today, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are traveling to Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington, Virginia. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that they will “participate in a United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots event.” She added, “They will join spouses of senior Department of Defense and service leadership and local military children in sorting donated toys for distribution to families in need ahead of the holidays.”
The press secretary noted that “This engagement is part of the first lady’s Joining Forces initiative to support those who serve, including families of service members and veterans, caregivers, and survivors.”
On Monday afternoon, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will address the public to provide a briefing for the upcoming African Leaders Summit.
