U.S. and EU Launch Talent for Growth Task Force

The mutual goal is to maintain skilled workers for strong economy.

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo was joined by European Commission Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager earlier this week to announce the creation of the Talent for Growth Task Force, a new collaboration between governments and businesses within the U.S. and the EU. Leaders from all sectors gathered to join the task force will support the mutual training of skilled workers and exchange information to expand their bases of talent.

“Competition for technological leadership today demands a well-trained workforce. Training is key to creating broad participation in today’s economy,” said Secretary Raimondo. “With the Talent for Growth Task Force, we will learn from each other’s successes and create new opportunities that recognize the talent of our people.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Raimondo to look to the Lord for wisdom as she collaborates with EU officials on workforce training.
  • For Commerce Department officials as they implement the president’s policies and programs.
  • For members guiding the Talent Growth Task Force as they seek to support training and development for workers.
