Commerce Secretary Appoints a FirstNet Board Member

Secretary Gina Raimondo selects one of 12 non-permanent members.

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo recently appointed Renee Gordon to serve as one of 12 non-permanent members on the board of First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority). FirstNet partners with AT&T to build and operate a nationwide first responder network and is governed by a 15-person board that permanently includes the U.S. Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

“[Renee Gordon] brings years of public safety emergency communications experience, which will be a vital asset to an already diverse and dedicated Board,” said Secretary Raimondo. “I also want to thank our outgoing member Karima Holmes for her time and dedication guiding FirstNet through a significant period of growth and investment in the network.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Raimondo as she continues to appoint members to the FirstNet board.
  • For the FirstNet board to be prudent in their administration of support for first responders.
