Presidents Biden and Xi to Meet at G20

Taiwan is expected to be part of Monday’s discussions.

President Biden and President Xi Jinping are scheduled to meet in person for the first time on Monday at the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia. The anticipated topics for discussion include tensions regarding Taiwan, the missile launches by North Korea, and the war in Ukraine.

The White House said that President Biden will encourage collaboration on nuclear arms control and climate change. He is also likely to raise concerns regarding China’s human rights violations and unfair economic practices. Both leaders will take the opportunity to lay out their priorities and intentions.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for the president and his advisors as they prepare for the meeting with President Xi.
  • For both presidents to approach the discussions with open minds to seek understanding.
  • For God’s purposes to be accomplished in the upcoming meetings.
