God’s Plan

Bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things.   – Ephesians 3:9

From the creation of the Universe, God had a plan. It can be seen from the time He created Adam and Eve to the culmination of time in Revelation. He is Love (1 John 4:8). He desires a people to love, however, He is holy and cannot look on sin (Habakkuk 1:13). God knew all along, from the time before He created humans, that there would be a need for a Savior (1 Peter 1:20).

He carried out His plan by raising up Israel and the law to show the standard that cannot humanly be reached. God displayed the need for a sacrifice through the animal sacrifices prescribed in the Mosaic law. God is pleased with faith and obedience, showing His grace to Abraham when he prepared to offer up Isaac. In directing the prophet Hosea to marry Gomer, a prostitute, the Lord portrayed His love for His wayward bride, Israel.

All this was in preparation for the coming of the Messiah. All Israel knew He was coming, but most did not recognize Him when He came. He died and rose again bringing salvation to all who believe. And history, “His Story,” is being carried out today as His people, His bride, waits for His return. In Christ, believers have free access to the throne of grace. Avail yourself of this great privilege as you pray for God’s will to be done in the United States. Pray that the gospel would spread and that the people of this country will lead the way to a worldwide revival in preparation for Christ’s return.

21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. 7 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
