Energy Department Announces EV Expansion Projects

$2.8 billion will support the expansion of manufacturing in 12 states.

The Department of Energy recently announced a combined $2.8 billion investment into American electric vehicle manufacturing. Twenty companies based in 12 states will receive this funding to expand their manufacturing facilities, all of which contribute to the many steps required to fully manufacture electric vehicles domestically. Battery material extraction, component production, and material recycling tactics are some of the many processes that will be supported through this investment.

“Producing advanced batteries and components here at home will accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels to meet the strong demand for electric vehicles, creating more good-paying jobs across the country,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For energy officials as they support the production of electric vehicles.
  • That Secretary Granholm would be led by the Lord as she heads the Energy Department.
  • For the president and his administration to proceed wisely in the pursuit of alternate energy sources.
