President Biden Responds to Russian Missile Strikes

Offers condolences to families of those who were killed.

On Monday, multiple coordinated Russian missile strikes targeted civilians in cities across the country of Ukraine, including its capital Kyiv. The attacks killed 14 people and injured 97. President Joe Biden condemned Russia’s actions as did other global leaders, calling them an alarming and senseless escalation of the war.

“These attacks only further reinforce our commitment to stand with the people of Ukraine for as long as it takes,” President Biden said. “Alongside our allies and partners, we will continue to impose costs on Russia for its aggression, hold Putin and Russia accountable for its atrocities and war crimes, and provide the support necessary for Ukrainian forces to defend their country and their freedom.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to be discerning as he responds to the war in Ukraine.
  • For wisdom for the president’s foreign policy advisors as they provide recommendations.
  • For the people of Ukraine as they continue to endure loss and destruction.
