HUD Updates Public Housing Agency Disaster Guidebook

Deputy Secretary Todman makes announcement during Miami visit

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released an updated version of its Public Housing Agency (PHA) Disaster Readiness, Response, and Recovery Guidebook last week. Deputy Secretary Adrianne Todman announced its release during a visit to the River Parc PHA in Miami, Florida, where she participated in a roundtable discussion on the intersection of housing resilience and inclusivity.

“Preparing for the impacts of disasters is more important now than ever,” said Deputy Secretary Todman. “It is important that families and communities are prepared. It is critical that housing providers have the resources and tools to take a proactive approach to protect their properties and the safety and well-being of residents.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Deputy Secretary Todman as she helps to inform partners of the new readiness guidelines.
  • For Secretary Fudge to seek God’s discernment as she heads the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
  • For communities who are recovering and rebuilding from recent natural disasters.
