DOT Announces $1.4 Billion in Rail Grants

A new implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

The Department of Transportation has issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity for over $1.4 billion in funding through the Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvement Grant program. The funding was allocated through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the Federal Railroad Administration will oversee the application and administration process for this grant.

“Freight rail is a critical part of our supply chains, and when shipping costs come down, families pay less for goods,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “Because of President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we’re thrilled to announce the biggest-round of funding ever to make both passenger and freight trains across America safer, faster, and more reliable.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Buttigieg as he oversees the funding of new transportation infrastructure projects.
  • For Administrator Amit Bose to be led by the Lord as he heads the Federal Railroad Administration.
  • That the railroad infrastructure funding will be used effectively and efficiently.
