President Joe Biden is traveling to Rockville, Maryland, where he will meet with federal officials, members of Congress, and leaders from the private sector. He will take part in campaign events and speak to attendees about what he hopes the administration can accomplish in the next two years. He is also expected to highlight some of the big bipartisan packages that were based by Congress this year, including bipartisan bills on gun control, infrastructure funding, and domestic manufacturing growth.

Ahead of the trip, the president announced a plan to provide aid and student debt relief for Americans who may have been given predatory loans during college. He added that, the cost of higher education is pricing Americans out of the global market and that the U.S. educational system is at risk of falling behind.  “Education is a ticket to a better life… but over time that ticket has become too expensive for too many Americans,” the president said. “All this means that an entire generation is now saddled with unsustainable debt in exchange for an attempt, at least, at a college degree. The burden is so heavy that even if you graduate you may not have access to the middle-class life that the college degree once provided.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to direct the president’s plans as he prepares for the month ahead.
  • For wisdom for the president and administration officials as they work to improve the educational system and its availability for Americans.
  • For God to be at work in and through the president as he works to provide for the needs of the nation.
