Today, President Joe Biden and the first family are continuing their stay on Kiawah Island in South Carolina. They are spending time together as a family and will be taking part in private events. He has no public events on his schedule at this time but is expected to still receive scaled-down White House briefings while on the traditional presidential vacation.
Following a series of votes last week, both chambers of Congress are now in their August recess and lawmakers are returning to their respective states. Many in Congress will use the recess as a chance to campaign ahead of the upcoming mid-term elections.
