HHS Awards $90 Million to Health Care Centers

American Rescue Plan Funds nearly 1,400 facilities.

This week, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the awarding of $90 million to nearly 1,400 community health care centers across the United States. President Biden issued a proclamation for National Health Center Week to authorize the distribution of the funds, which will go toward the modernization of data collection the centers use for their patients and communities.

“We have prioritized advancing equity in our COVID-19 response and throughout all of our work,” said Secretary Xavier Becerra. “Community health centers have played a pivotal role in the nation’s COVID-19 response, and now serve more than 30 million people across the country. Today’s investments will help ensure that all patients have equitable access to the high-quality health care they deserve.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the health secretary as he oversees the funding for modernizing health centers.
  • For HHS officials as they respond to the evaluations and insights that have come out of the coronavirus pandemic.
