Today, President Joe Biden will be signing the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 in a ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House. The CHIPS and Science Act is meant to drastically bolster the U.S. manufacturing of semiconductors through strengthening U.S.-based supply chains, research and development, and boosting American-made exports of technology around the world.
The president will also sign the Instruments of Ratification for the Accession Protocols to the North Atlantic Treaty for the Republic of Finland and Kingdom of Sweden.
Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai, and Director of the Office of Management and Budget Shalanda Young will be in attendance.
