President Joe Biden is at the White House today and has no public events on his agenda at this time. Regarding the president’s health status, White House Physician O’Connor stated, “Yesterday evening, and then again, this morning, he tested NEGATIVE for the SARS-CoV-2 virus by antigen testing. Given these reassuring factors, the President will discontinue his strict isolation measures.”

On Capitol Hill today, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is holding a hearing on U.S. National Security And Economic Statecraft: Ensuring U.S. Global Leadership For The Twenty-First Century. Testimonies will be heard from Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and Environment Jose Fernandez, U.S. Trade and Development Agency Director Enoh T. Ebong, and Acting Under Secretary for International Affairs Andy Baukol of the Treasury Department.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will also hold hearings today for nominees for ambassadorships to Morocco, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazahkstan, and Tunisia.

The House Rules Committee is meeting regarding legislation for each of the following: Assault Weapons Ban of 2022; Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act of 2022; Mental Health Justice Act of 2021; Break the Cycle of Violence Act; VICTIM Act of 2022; COPS on the Beat Grant Program Reauthorization and Parity Act of 2022; Invest to Protect Act of 2022
