Secretaries Blinken and Raimondo Co-Host Supply Chain Forum

17 countries joined the United States in discussions.

Last week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo co-hosted a two-day supply chain forum with representatives from governments around the world. They discussed the challenges behind both short- and long-term supply chain issues, received expert opinions from professionals, and made political commitments with each other to work together to stabilize the global supply chain.

“The shocks to global supply chains from pandemics, wars and conflicts, extreme climate impacts, and natural disasters have put in stark relief the urgent need to further strengthen supply chains, to work to reduce and end near-term disruptions, and to build long-term resilience,” said the joint statement from the 18 participating countries. “This is a global challenge we intend to approach resolutely and cooperatively.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Blinken as he connects with U.S. allies over shared concerns.
  • For Secretary Raimondo as she collaborates with international counterparts regarding food security and supply.
  • That the president and his advisors would seek the Lord for wisdom on addressing supply chain issues.
