Treasury Funds Four New High-Speed Internet Projects

American Rescue Plan money is awarded to four more states.

The Department of the Treasury added an additional four states to the Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund (CPF) this month. Kansas, Maine, Maryland, and Minnesota submitted plans for high-speed internet infrastructure projects in their respective states. Each will now receive a portion of the $10 billion allocated to the CPF through the American Rescue Plan.

“The pandemic upended life as we knew it—from work to school to connecting with friends and family—and exposed the stark inequity in access to affordable and reliable high-speed internet in communities across the country, but especially in rural, tribal, and low-income communities,” said Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo. High-speed internet infrastructure development has been a goal of President Biden’s administration since the American Rescue Plan was passed.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For insight for Cabinet officials as they award funding for infrastructure projects.
  • For Deputy Secretary Adeyemo as he fulfills his role in the Treasury Department.
  • For Secretary Yellen to seek God’s leading as she heads the department.
