Over a Quarter Million Troops Face No-Vax Discharge

They represent 13 percent of the total force.

According to the Department of Defense, about 268,858 troops as of mid-July are still not in compliance with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s August 2021 mandate for every member of the military to be fully vaccinated with two doses of vaccine. The number represents about 13 percent of the 2.1 million total American force.

According to the latest statistics provided by the services, only about 20,000 of the more than 260,000 have received a temporary or permanent exemption. The remainder face discharge from the military at a time the services are struggling to find new recruits.

According to DOD statistics, there have been 95 military deaths from coronavirus so far, with 412,766 who have had it and recovered.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Secretary Austin and the leaders in the Pentagon as military discharges are considered for the unvaccinated.
  • For the president and his administration as they assess the readiness and needs of the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • For God’s purposes to be accomplished in the United States.
