President Commends Numbers of Foreign Workers in U.S.

He stated that the migrant surge is “creating work opportunities.”

During his meeting with the president of Mexico earlier this week, President Biden touted the “record number” of foreign workers his administration has allowed into the U.S. from Mexico, stating that the move has boosted job opportunities.

“My administration is leading the way to creating work opportunities through legal pathways,” President Biden said. “And last year my administration set a record. We issued more than 300,000 H-2 visas for Mexican workers. We also reached a five-year high in the visas issued for Central Americans, and we’re on pace to double this for this fiscal year for Central America,” he continued.

Following the meeting, Mexican President Andres Manual Lopez Obrador said the United States has agreed to increase the number of work visas for Mexicans and Central Americans.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his administration as they continue to implement their immigration policy.
  • For U.S. officials seeking to support employment and the American economy.
