Vice President Inaugurates Online Harassment Task Force

Administration finds strong tie between online abuse and violence.

On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris launched a task force dedicated to curbing online harassment. The administration has discovered a link between a mass shooter’s repeated online verbal harassment and his decision to commit gun violence. The person who committed the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, was found to have repeatedly threatened to rape girls and shoot up schools on social media before his attack.

The task force will work to identify actions to take to address this issue and present their conclusion to the public six months from now. “It’s imperative that we commit to better understanding and addressing the nexus between online misogyny and radicalization to violence,” a senior administration official said.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the vice president as she launches administration initiatives.
  • For the task force members as they assess and gather information regarding the link between online harassment and criminal behavior.
