President Issues Proclamation on Education and Sharing Day

Sets aside Tuesday to honor the 120th birthday of Rabbi Schneerson.

On Monday, the White House shared a statement from President Biden marking April 12, 2022 as a special Education and Sharing Day. Education and Sharing Day was established in 1978 to honor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, also known as the Rebbe. He is considered one of the most important Jewish leaders of the 20th century. Education and Sharing Day always falls four days before Passover, and this year it is within a week of the rabbi’s 120th birthday.

“The Rebbe’s work reminds us, in the words of the Prophet Amos, to ‘hate evil, love good, and establish justice in the gate,‘ ” President Biden stated. “We each share a responsibility to live up to those words — in and out of the classroom — and to plant the seeds of love, kindness, and empathy in the hearts and minds of every child in America.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president as he promotes education and upholds the memory of the rabbi.
  • For Secretary Cardona as he heads the Department of Education.
