Senate Schedules Vote on Advancing Judge Jackson’s Nomination

Full Senate vote would follow “in short order.”

Confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson wrapped up Thursday. The Senate Judiciary Committee is now preparing for a vote on April 4, on whether to advance her nomination to the full Senate.

After two days of probing questioning, the third day included witnesses, like those from her childhood and organizations that stand behind her nomination. The American Bar Association participated in the peer review portion of the confirmation process, giving her a “Well Qualified” rating.

With the confirmation hearings concluded, and an April 4 committee vote scheduled, Senate leaders expect the full vote will follow “in short order.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for members of the Senate Judiciary Committee as they vote on advancing the nomination.
  • For Senators who are preparing to cast their votes for or against the confirmation of the president’s nominee.
  • For God’s will to be accomplished through the confirmation process.
