Today, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will meet with top Cabinet officials at the White House. The meeting is expected to center on foreign policy and focus on the developments in Ukraine. The president will work with Cabinet members to find ways to shield the American people from the impact of global sanctions on Russia.

During the president’s State of the Union address, he said, “I’m taking robust action to make sure the pain of our sanctions is targeted at the Russian economy and that we use every tool at our disposal to protect American businesses and consumers.”

In an effort to relieve pressure caused by both international supply chain issues and sanctions, the president promised to work with administration officials and American businesses in order to ramp up the production of goods and services locally. “We’re going to make more cars and semiconductors in America, more infrastructure innovation in America, more goods moving faster and cheaper in America, more jobs that you can earn a living, a good living by here in America.” He added, “Instead of relying on foreign supply chains, let’s make it in America again.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the president as he continues to work with administration officials and global partners on the international response to the conflict in Ukraine
  • For guidance for the members of the Cabinet as they address the many issues facing Americans today.
  • For God’s will and purposes to be accomplished through the decisions made during the Cabinet meeting.
