U.S. Sends War Machinery to UAE

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have been firing off missile strikes.

The United States is set to deploy a missile defense system, warships, airplanes, and state-of-the-art fighter jets to extend support to the United Arab Emirates in the wake of a series of missile attacks by Houthi rebels of Yemen who are backed by Iran.

There have been two attacks on the Emirates in recent weeks. In one instance, debris from the missile fell in an unpopulated area; no casualties were incurred.

The action follows a phone conversation between Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed al Nalnyan and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

The missile defense system will be set up in collaboration with the UAE Navy and fifth-generation fighter jets will also be deployed in the Emirates. A joint patrolling operation will also be conducted.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Austin as he sends aid to the United Arab Emirates.
  • For wisdom for U.S. defense officials as they evaluate the level of support necessary to address Houthi rebels.
  • For the president and administration officials to seek God’s guidance as areas around the world experience increasing hostilities.
