Treasury Deputy Secretary Speaks on Eviction Prevention Program

Encourages lawyers-in-training about the impact of their future efforts.

Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo spoke during the Department of Justice’s Eviction Prevention seminar on Friday. He encouraged the law students participating in the seminar, commending their desire to legally represent families through the Emergency Rental Assistance program (ERA), which helps millions of people fight against unlawful evictions and secure stable housing.

“This program is working, keeping families safely housed,” Mr. Adeyemo stated. “As I travel around the country to meet people that are still in their homes because of ERA, they are all grateful for the support from the federal government, but even more grateful for the members of their community, like you, who have shown up to help them during their darkest hour.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Deputy Secretary Adeyemo to seek God’s direction as he fulfills his role in the Treasury Department.
  • For officials in the Department of Justice as they participate in eviction prevention.
  • For discernment for the Treasury administrators of the Emergency Rental Assistance program.
