The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble. – Nahum 1:7
When Troubles Come
You cannot know all that 2022 will hold. Troubles are not exempted, be they natural or manmade disasters, illness, or relational issues. Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulation (or trouble). But take heart, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). He also told His followers, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27) God calls you to respond to difficulties in life by realizing your total dependence upon Him and calling upon Him. Recognizing the need to utterly rely upon the Lord helps to sort through your priorities, such as your relationship with Him, with family and friends. This dependence also brings you peace, for He is your stronghold, working all things together for good to those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
