U.S. Defense Secretary Meets with Ukrainian Counterpart

Russia’s pressure on that nation is central in discussions.

Last week, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov met with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon. Ukraine is still under constant military pressure from Russia and is using the $60 million security aid given to them by the U.S. to continue to stave off this pressure to the best of its abilities.

“The leaders discussed a range of security issues, including Russia’s destabilizing actions in the region, and agreed to work closely together to advance the shared priorities outlined in the U.S.-Ukraine Strategic Defense Framework signed on August 31, 2021,” Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby stated.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Austin as he works with Defense Minister Reznikov to enhance Ukrainian security.
  • That continued cooperation with allies of the United States would prove beneficial to all parties.
  • For wisdom for the president and the defense secretary as they face issues with Russia.
