Finding Glory

Let every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father. – Philippians 2:11

Where can you find the glory of God? Today’s culture of self-exaltation is structured to discourage you from seeing His beauty. Instead, it encourages YOU to be the focus of your story. However, the Bible is clear that everything God does, from creation to Earth’s final restoration, including His relationship with you, is all done to reveal His love and wonder. When you do encounter God, it always comes with an invitation for you to participate in celebrating His worthiness in praise.

Discover God’s glory throughout the history of mankind. In His great love, He chose a people for Himself before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4-6). For the sake of His own Holy name, God rescued His ancient people, Israel, to bring salvation to Earth (Ezekiel 36:22-25). Jesus came to Earth not seeking His own acclaim but to glorify His Father in all He did (John 7:16-18).

Your sin is forgiven because God is good, not because of your efforts (Isaiah 43:25). At the restoration of all things, there will be no need for sun or moon because God’s glory is so magnificent it will radiate light (Revelation 21:23). In the meantime, you are to receive others gladly into the fellowship of Christ, together giving God the praise (Romans 15:7).

Throw off the deception of a self-absorbed world and seek to glorify God through Jesus Christ. Invite all you know to discover His love for themselves. Pray that a new generation will see His glory and give Him praise, bringing blessing to the nation.

17 When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
