President Travels to Midwest to Promote Spending Bills

Calls for competitiveness rather than complacency for American economy.

On Tuesday, President Biden traveled to Howell, Michigan, to lobby for Americans’ support for his “Build Back Better” initiative. The White House has been working closely with legislators in Congress to pass a pair of bills designed to fund new infrastructure projects, as well as expanding social programs for Americans including universal childcare, environmental protection, and healthcare.

The president pitched the capabilities of the country saying, “America’s still the largest economy in the world, we still have the most productive workers and the most innovative minds in the world, but we’re at risk of losing our edge as a nation.” He also pointed out the need to make the American economy more adaptable to modern needs saying the proposed legislation in Congress is “about competitiveness versus complacency.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Biden to seek God’s direction in his plans for the U.S. economy.
  • For members of Congress as they negotiate with the White House on the spending bills.
  • For safety for the president as he travels.
