Pentagon Resumes Advisory Boards

Reordering comes after review period at the start of the president’s administration.

On Friday, the Department of Defense announced that it was ready to resume the meeting of several military advisory boards, after ceasing all panels following the transition to President Biden’s administration. A total of 16 boards have been reinstated following a review by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and include the Defense health, policy, business, and science boards.

The goal of the review by the president’s administration was to reassess the value that each of the boards provided and adjust funding and resources accordingly. The review resulted in removing members from 31 of the total of 42 advisory panels that exist within the Defense Department.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the leaders in the Defense Department as they make decisions.
  • For Secretary Austin to seek God’s guidance as he heads the U.S. armed forces.
  • For the president as he conducts reviews and assessments of policies and procedures.
