CIA Director Visits Israel

He will also meet with Palestinian Authority.

Central Intelligence Agency Director William Burns arrived in Israel Tuesday for talks on Iran, as rising tensions overshadow talks on restoring a landmark nuclear deal.

A spokesman for Prime Minister Naftali Bennett gave no details of the agenda for the talks with the CIA director. Other Israeli officials said Director Burns would discuss Iran’s nuclear program and its activities in the region with both Prime Minister Bennett and David Barnea, director of the Mossad intelligence agency.

Director Burns is also scheduled to travel to Ramallah in the West Bank for talks with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and the head of Palestinian intelligence, Majed Faraj.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the CIA Director and his visits with the leadership of both Israel and the Palestinians.
  • For the president and his administration as they seek to revive the Iran nuclear deal.
  • For wisdom for Director Burns as he discusses Middle East issues and concerns.
