Energy Department Launches “Summer of Solar 2021”

New SolarAPP+ Tool will help expedite solar installations.

The Department of Energy announced that it had begun the “Summer of Solar 2021” on Thursday. According to the department, the cost of solar power has decreased by 90% in the last ten years, but many people still have difficulty transferring to an alternate power source. The department is attempting to power more American homes through the release of the Solar Automated Permit Processing Plus (SolarAPP+) tool.

According to Energy Secretary Granholm, “We are fast-tracking America’s clean energy future by cutting red tape to make it cheaper and easier for homeowners to access power from the sun. SolarAPP+ will bust through bureaucracy to speed up permitting, helping homeowners more quickly add solar panels on their roofs, adding gigawatts of clean electricity to the nation’s grid, while creating good-paying jobs.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Energy Department as they seek to power American homes with alternative energy.
  • For God to help Secretary Granholm lead the department effectively.
  • That the SolarAPP+ tool would help succeed in lowering the entry cost for solar power.
