CDC Federal Travel Mask Mandate Stands

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas denied an injunction.

This week, Justice Clarence Thomas denied a request for an injunction against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s mandate requiring masks on public transportation. Justice Thomas handed down the order denying an appeal made by Lucas Wall, who suffers from generalized anxiety and panic attacks.

The appeal, brought due to Wall’s upcoming international travel, had been made in the Supreme Court last week challenging the CDC’s mandate, which has been extended through September 13.

The high court has declined to hear several coronavirus restriction-related cases over the past year.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For government officials as they provide oversight and protocols for public health.
  • For the CDC as they seek to determine the most beneficial courses of action regarding the virus.
