President Biden’s Dog Champ Dies

“Everything was instantly better when he was next to us.”

Over the weekend, the White House announced that Champ, the older of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden’s two dogs Champ had died at the age of 13. President Biden adopted Champ in 2008 after being elected vice president. The Bidens still own a younger German shepherd named Major and have indicated that they will adopt a cat sometime soon.

A statement from the president and first lady said, “Even as Champ’s strength waned in his last months when we came into a room, he would immediately pull himself up, his tail always wagging, and nuzzle us for an ear scratch or a belly rub. Wherever we were, he wanted to be, and everything was instantly better when he was next to us.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and first lady as they mourn the loss of Champ.
  • That Major and the first family’s new cat would adjust to life at the White House.
  • With gratitude to the Lord for the close bond with pets.
